The Ministry of Women and Child Development has proposed to ban obscene depiction of women on the Internet and on SMS/MMS by amending the Indecent Representation of Women Act, 1986.

महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्रालय ने स्‍त्री अशिष्‍ट रूपण प्रतिषेध अधिनियम 1986, में संशोधन करके इंटरनेट पर और एसएमएस / एमएमएस पर महिलाओं के अश्लील चित्रण पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का प्रस्ताव दिया है।

The Ministry has also suggested that stricter punishments be awarded for such crimes on par with those recommended under the IT Act, 2008.

मंत्रालय ने यह भी सुझाव दिया है कि आईटी अधिनियम, 2008 के तहत ऐसे अपराधों के लिए अनुशंसित लोगों को कठोर दंड दिए जाएंगे।

It has also proposed setting up a central authority under the National Commission of Women, which will include representatives from Advertising Standards Council of India, Press Council of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and one member with experience of working on women’s issues.

राष्ट्रीय राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग के तहत एक केंद्रीय प्राधिकरण की स्थापना का प्रस्ताव भी दिया गया है, जिसमें भारत के विज्ञापन मानक परिषद, प्रेस काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया, सूचना मंत्रालय और प्रसारण मंत्रालय और महिलाओं के मुद्दों पर काम करने के अनुभवी सदस्य शामिल होंगे।

The IRW Act provides for punishment of up to two years in jail for an offence committed for the first time and imprisonment of six months to five years for a second conviction.

यह अधिनियम पहली बार किए गए अपराध के लिए दो साल तक जेल की सजा और दूसरी सजा के लिए छह महीने से पांच साल की कारावास की सजा देता है

IT Act provisions आईटी अधिनियम प्रावधान

Sections 67 and 67A of the IT Act lay down a punishment of three to five years for circulating obscene material and five to seven years for circulating sexually explicit material.

आईटी अधिनियम की धारा 67 और 67 ए ने अश्लील सामग्री को प्रसारित करने के लिए तीन से पांच साल का प्रावधान किया है और यौन स्पष्ट सामग्री को प्रसारित करने के लिए पांच से सात साल की सजा का प्रावधान किया हैं।
