New norms for college teachers

• The University Grants Commission (UGC) has brought out a new set of regulations to alter the conditions for recruitment and promotion of college and university teachers
• विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) ने कॉलेज और विश्वविद्यालय के शिक्षकों की भर्ती और पदोन्नति के लिए नए  नियमों का एक नया सेट लाया है
• This is done to make universities more focussed on research and colleges on the teaching-learning process
• इसलिए किया गया हैं ताकि यूनिवर्सिटी अनुसन्धान पर और कॉलेज पढ़ाने-सिखाने पर ज्यादा फोकस कर सकें 

अभी के नए नियम क्या है 

• Research will no longer be mandatory for college teachers for promotion
• कॉलेज शिक्षकों की पदोन्नति के लिए अनुसंधान अनिवार्य नहीं होगा
• College teachers will be graded on teaching rather than research
• कॉलेज शिक्षकों को अनुसंधान के बजाय उनके शिक्षण पर वर्गीकृत किया जाएगा
• They can earn grades for other activities too — like social work, helping in adoption of a village, helping students in extra-curricular activities, contributing teaching material to Swayam, the MOOCS platform for online material
• वे अन्य गतिविधियों के लिए भी ग्रेड अर्जित कर सकते हैं - जैसे सामाजिक कार्य, गांव को गोद लेने में मदद करना, छात्रों को अतिरिक्त पाठ्यचर्या गतिविधियों में मदद करना, स्वयं को शिक्षण सामग्री का योगदान देना, (स्वयं ऑनलाइन सामग्री के लिए MOOCS एक प्लेटफॉर्म है ) 
• The regulations also make teaching hours flexible
• ये नियम शिक्षण घंटों को लचीला बनाते हैं
• Indians who had been awarded a doctoral degree from any of the top 500 global universities would be eligible to teach in Indian universities without the requirement of any equivalence certificate or NET as soon as the regulations are notified
• अगर भारतीय को 500 वैश्विक विश्वविद्यालयों में से किसी एक से डॉक्टरेट की डिग्री से सम्मानित किया गया है, वे भारतीय विश्वविद्यालयों में किसी समकक्ष प्रमाणपत्र या नेट की आवश्यकता के बिना पढ़ाने के पात्र होंगे( जैसे ही नियमों को अधिसूचित किया जाता है)

• The University Grants Commission of India (UGC India) is a statutory body set up in accordance to the UGC Act 1956 under Ministry of Human Resource Development
• भारतीय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी इंडिया) मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय के तहत यूजीसी अधिनियम 1956 के अनुसार स्थापित एक सांविधिक निकाय है
• It is charged with coordination, determination, and maintenance of standards of higher education
• यह उच्च शिक्षा के मानकों के समन्वय, दृढ़ संकल्प और रखरखाव के साथ लिया जाता है
• It provides recognition to universities in India and disburses funds to such recognized universities and colleges
• यह भारत में विश्वविद्यालयों को मान्यता प्रदान करता है और ऐसे मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालयों और कॉलेजों को धन वितरित करता है
• UGC, along with CSIR currently conducts NET for appointments of teachers in colleges and universities
• यूजीसी, सीएसआईआर के साथ वर्तमान में कॉलेजों और विश्वविद्यालयों में शिक्षकों की नियुक्ति के लिए नेट आयोजित करता है
• It has made NET qualification mandatory for teaching at Graduation level and at Post Graduation level since July 2009
• इसने जुलाई 200 9 से स्नातक स्तर पर और स्नातकोत्तर स्तर पर शिक्षण के लिए एनईटी योग्यता अनिवार्य कर दी है
